Medical Imaging

Get to Know Me

I discovered my passion for radiology in medical school. I enjoy working with doctors in all specialties and using my knowledge and expertise in pediatric imaging, particularly heart and body imaging, to help ensure correct diagnosis and treatment. I lead a team of more than 40 radiologists providing care in four states across Nemours.

Why I Treat Children

To be able to participate in the care of a child and see the look on a parent鈥檚 face when they鈥檙e given good news about an imaging exam is extremely satisfying. As a radiologist, working with children also allows me to keep up my skills in all types of imaging. We have many tools, including X-rays, ultrasound, CT (computed tomography), MRI (magnetic resonance imaging), nuclear medicine and fluoroscopy (鈥渕oving鈥 X-rays), to diagnose children with many different conditions.

What I'm Passionate About

In recent years there have been tremendous advances in imaging techniques to diagnose digestive, urinary, heart and breathing problems in children. I am passionate about using these technologies to help pediatric patients at Nemours 鈥 and about continuing the search for new ways to advance the science of pediatric imaging for the benefit of children everywhere.

How I Try to Make A Difference

As radiologist-in-chief of Nemours Children鈥檚 Health System, the best way I can make a difference is by empowering my team to do their jobs to the best of their ability. This means having the best radiologists, technologists, nurses and support staff; providing them with the best equipment; and using the safest techniques and procedures.
