Why I Treat Children
I treat children because the sense of wonder, joy, openness and curiosity that many children experience and bring to interactions has always been energizing and inspiring to me. I love the genuine disposition of so many of the children that I've encountered over the years and feel grateful to the many families that have allowed me to be a part of their lives. It has always felt important to support others. I've considered myself a 'helper' for a long time and acknowledge the ways that this work has also influenced my development, both personally and professionally.
What I'm Passionate About
I am passionate about showing up, recognizing that that looks different every day. I am passionate about working within a team and system that supports communities and works tirelessly to lessen disparities within our communities. I believe that equity is achievable and I want to be a part of systems that are working towards equity, diversity, inclusion, justice and wellness.
How I Try to Make A Difference
I try to make a difference by moving people closer to goals that resonate with them. By becoming a collaborator alongside families to support progress, I can help influence outcomes.
