Our doctors are experts at treating juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA). JIA can cause pain, swelling, and stiffness, or affect kids鈥 eyes and skin.听
Besides treating childhood arthritis, we also treat lupus, Lyme disease, and conditions that cause fever and pain. Some of these conditions are chronic. Others go away after treatment, or as children get older.
Pediatric rheumatology isn鈥檛 the same as adult rheumatology because children鈥檚 bodies are growing and changing. Pediatric Rheumatology Fellowship Training
The Pediatric Rheumatology Fellowship Training Program at Nemours Children鈥檚 Hospital, Delaware, in affiliation with Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University (TJU), trains residents in all aspects of diagnosing and treating children with JIA, SLE and other rheumatic conditions.
